Is there a registration capacity?
2012 Registration is capped at 5,000 runners for the Marathon and Half Marathon.

Do I need a qualifying time to enter the Atlantic City Marathon?
No, the race is a wonderful event for elite and beginning runners.

Men 2:35 and under are eligible for waived race entry.
Women 2:56 and under are eligible for waived race entry.
Half Marathon Time Standards
Men 1:14 and under are eligible for waived race entry.
Women 1:27 and under are eligible for waived race entry.

How long is the course open? 6 Hours
The 5K and 10K are walker friendly, however the marathon and half marathon course will only be open for 6 hours. The nature of the course and road closings do not allow for a pace greater than a 13.75 minute mile. We ask that all runners and walkers that register for this event are prepared to complete the marathon during this 6 hour time restriction.
Please indicate your anticipated finish time during registration.
I am injured and/or cannot run the event (family commitment, work obligation, etc.). Can I donate my entry or transfer my entry to someone else?
No. Per our official event rules and guidelines: Sale and/or transfer of race entry/bib is strictly prohibited and will result in the disqualification and/or banning of any individuals involved from future events.
All entry fees are non-refundable and cannot be deferred toward a future event.
Awards
Cash Awards
Cash Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers (male and female) in each event. Please see the chart below for the
Age group awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers in each 10 year age group. Awards that are not picked up at the award ceremony will be mailed to the home address of each age group award recipient in 4 - 6 weeks.
Awards will not be available for pick up after the award ceremony has commenced.
Finisher Medals
All finishers in each category will receive a custom finisher medal upon completion of their event.
If I provide medical documentation of my injury or pregnancy, will you give me a refund? Refunds and name transfers are not permitted. The selling or trading of Bib Numbers is prohibited.
RACE REGISTRATION DEFERMENT POLICY
Runners who become injured may defer their race registration for medical reasons. We hope that this will help you in planning your race schedule for the year and build confidence that if you should become injured you will be able to postpone your participation in the 2013 Atlantic City Marathon Race Series until 20134
Runners are eligible for registration deferment to the following calendar year if they are medically unable to complete the race they are registered for. A race deferment form must be completed by a physician within 30 days of the event date.
All deferment forms must be accompanied by a $10.00 processing fee.
Runners must submit the form to race officials one week prior to the event date. No deferments will be granted after the race.

Can I change the race I am registered for?
All race changes must be accompanied by a $10.00 processing fee. No race changes are permitted after 10/1/2013.

The April Fools Half Marathon Course is open for 4 hours.
The Marathon Course is open for 6 hours.
Is the race chip timed?
Yes, we work with Mid-Atlantic Timing, using the state of the art Jaguar Timing System to provide accurate, real-time results.
Do I have to pick up my Participant Packet, Participant Bag and tech-shirt at the Sports & Fitness Expo?
April Fools Half Marathon: No, race day packet pick up is available as of 2013.
Atlantic City Marathon and Half Marathon: Yes. All participants must pick up their event-issued bib number, timing device, technical shirt and Participant Bag at the Expo.
We do not mail out participant packets, bags or T-shirts that are not picked up at the Expo; no exceptions.
What do I need to bring with me in order to pick up my Participant Packet and Bag?
You need to bring your photo ID.
Can a friend pick up my packet for me if I cannot attend the Sports & Fitness Expo?
No, all runners must pick up their own race packets.
Will energy gel and drinks be offered?
Yes, there will be energy gels and hydration drinks offered at some water stations.
Can I run with an iPod/headphones?
Yes. USATF, the national governing body of the sport, recently amended its ban on headphones, iPods and similar devices. However, there is a variety of course entertainment brought to you by Wayv and headphones are strongly discouraged for on-course safety reasons.
Can I run with my Garmin GPS or other GPS device?
Yes, participants may wear their Garmin GPS watches and/or other GPS devices. However, these items do not count as “second timing devices" and will not be recognized by the event as official times or distances.
I live/work along the race course. Where can I find out about race day street closures?
For important information on street closures, visit the website at least one week prior to the race.
